He had been wanting to ride the bus home since school started - so, I finally gave in and let him try it last week. It's not that I don't like the convenience of him riding the bus, I just love to go and get him from school and hear all about his day when he gets in the car. It is one of the high lights of my day. He ended up loving it, so we compromised and he is going to ride the bus two days a week.

Friday night our friends the Greenfield's invited us to go eat dinner with them and then go to the soccer kick off. The boys were so excited to go spend and evening with their buddy's Carter Wayne and Sawyer. Lance and Carter Wayned are on the same soccer team this year and we ALL are excited!
On Friday, Lance's school had their first Colt's Stampede. I had no idea what it was and since parents were invited to come, Grayson and I decided to go and see what this Stampede was all about.
It was an awards assembly that the school holds at the end of each month. They give out class awards to the class that does the best at PE, Art, Music, Library, Computers and the class that is the best in the cafeteria during lunch. Lance's class received two awards: the silver spoon award for being the best class in the cafeteria during lunch and the art award for being good in art. It was a nice assembly and encourages the students to do their best. So far, I love his school!

The soccer kick off had several bounce houses for the kids - Grayson wasn't too sure of them for a while, but once he decided he would give them a try, we could not get him off of them! All the boys had a great time and it wore them out :)

Coming down the slide!
Saturday we took the boys bowling to celebrate Lance being selected as an ambassador for his class. His teacher sent a letter home on Friday telling us that he had been picked to be the boy ambassador for his classroom. An ambassador is someone who will help welcome new students, help plan special events, etc. Each class chooses 1 boy and 1 girl to represent their classroom. We were so proud that Lance was selected to be the boy ambassador for his classroom, we had to celebrate! We asked Lance if there was something fun he wanted to do to celebrate and he picked bowling - so bowling it was!
